I have a UNITED CLOCK CORP.OF BROOKLYN N.Y. model # 88. I am

I can't price and date it, but I can tell you that my father
worked for the company for over 30 years, anf that it was
located at 379 DeKalb Avenue; which was bought and renovated
some time ago to become part of Pratt Institute.

I, too, have a UNITED clock, but I don't think it's worth
much. UNITED was like a local version and competitor to
WESTCLOX, remember them?

This, of course, is before all of this kind of light
manufacturing moved out of the U.S.

I have model 40 (it looks like a GIANT pocket watch with
chain)  I love it! My parents left it to me when they died
and my siblings would have loved it too so I am forever
looking for another one to buy!

I saw one advertised for $250 about 2 years ago.

United Clock made many different "novelty" clocks: Wooden
ship models with clocks built into the sails or hull, cowboy
and horse clocks, wagon trains, bowlers,aquarium clocks with
revolving fish panoramas, fireplace (they had red lights
behind "logs" to simulate flames. These clocks were
sometimes given away as prizes at carnivals or in bar
competitions-darts, etc. They are a bit cheesy but neat, I
think. I have 5 of their ship clocks. Check out Ebay for
"United clocks", and you'll always find some examples.

Can you tell me what years your father worked for United
Clock Corp? My Aunt has a clock that looks like the one that
Dee is describing (looks like a large pocket watch w/
chain), but it is model # 360, it was her Grandmother and my
Aunt is now 81 and wondering if I can find out any
information about this clock. She said it is still in good
working condition, so that is something special. Any help is
appreciated, not finding much on the net. Thanks

I have one that has a globe top with curls on the top and
clock on the bottom with wood bace mod 33   e36287 on it I
am trying to find out more about it its a lamp ?  can anyone
help?
