My father and grandmother lived in Brooklyn on Fish Avenue
in the 1920's and 1930's. They were imigrants from Germany-
my grandfather was a German soldier, killed in WWI, so my
father and grandmother were the family of a former enemy
soldier, yet they came here, became citizens, lived in
Brooklyn for many years, eventually moved to Pennsylvania.
I am looking for information and location of Fish Avenue.
Someone told me it sounds like near Coney Island, but I
would like to know about where it was (Still is, maybe ?)
My grandmother died in 1969, but my father is living-in
south Texas-and will be 90 on Jan 1.
Sorry to be so long winded, but I'm very interested in any
information on where they lived.
He was always very close-mouthed about his early life.
Thanks in advance-any help is appreciated.

Mark
